We did nothing really. Non abbiamo fatto niente di speciale.
You can't have done nothing. Non puoi non aver fatto niente.
What subjects did you have at school today? Che materie avevi oggi a scuola?
We had English and physics before morning break. Abbiamo avuto inglese e fisica prima dell'intervallo del mattino.
We had games before lunch and double maths in the afternoon. Abbiamo fatto ginnastica prima di pranzo e abbiamo avuto due ore di matematica nel pomeriggio.
Is everything all right? Va tutto bene?
You look a bit fed up. Hai l'aria un po' scocciata.
I got told off for not having done some maths exercises for homework. Sono stata sgridata perché non avevo fatto alcuni esercizi di matematica assegnati per casa.
The teacher had a right go at me in front of everyone. L'insegnante mi ha dato una bella sgridata davanti a tutti.
Why didn't you do the exercises? Perché non avevi fatto gli esercizi?
I didn't write it down in my diary and totally forgot about it. Non l'avevo scritto sul diario e me ne sono totalmente dimenticata.
